FRAGEBOGEN: Crooked Colours [English Version]

„Fragebogen“ is a standard interview with 15 questions around music plus a special task. This time it’s the band Crooked Colours who answers them.

Crooked Colours

*** Hier geht es zur deutschen Version des Fragebogens ***

First cd: First cd was Savage Garden „Affirmation“, but my first tape was actually Savage Garden „Savage Garden“. Still great albums!

First concert: First concert was one of the Big Day Outs. I can remember my mate’s dad telling us not to get into those „punch circles“ at the barrier. Suffice to say we stayed clear.

First childhood memory related to music: The first time I can remember being really wowed by music was in the 4th grade and these guys in the 7th grade did a Blink 182 cover of „All the Small Things“ at assembly. I was sitting in the crowd like „How are these guys making those instruments sound so much like the song?! Is someone playing a cd???!“

Favourite song at the moment: „Who Dat Boy“ by Tyler The Creator. What an intro!!

A rather embarrassing song you like:

Favourite song among your own: It changes quite a bit but at the moment really digging „I Hope You Get It“. I love Ivan Ooze’s verses.

Favourite songlyrics: Dance Yourself Clean – LCD Soundsystem. Great Song, great lyrics.

Best concert: Pnau at the „One Night Stand“ concert in 2008.

Worst concert:

Best concert among your own: The last Brisbane show we played at Woolly Mammoth was pretty insane! Just a great vibe.

Vinyl, cd or mp3? You can’t really go past vinyl can you? I also got given a cd a few months back and realised I did not have anywhere to listen to it!

Download or stream? Haha! Download for sure, but this is something we debate in the band already. Personally I can’t stand a show stopping to buffer.

Club concert or festival? Festival! You can’t beat the atmosphere.

Three songs that really have to be on your mixtape:

An album you would NOT take with you to a lonely island:

Sadly, Crooked Colours did not answer all of our questions and didn’t do the special task.
